Dearly Beloved Church and Saints of The Most High GOD,
Dealing with our senses to have a full life and relationship with God is a gift in-often talked about. So, of course, I believe it something that we should all tap into. Developing hearing the voice of God is by knowing the Word. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16–17). When we have a question about a certain topic or decision in our lives, we should see what the Bible has to say about it. God will never lead us contrary to what He has taught in His Word (Titus 1:2). To hear God's voice we must belong to God. Jesus said, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). Do not follow the voice of the flesh, and the voice of the world, nor the voice of the enemy.
Now you may be asking what do you mean, the flesh, the world, and the enemy. They are all different? slightly, yes. Yet in the end, they all lead to the same thing, Sin. Let us not over contemplate this. We are made of flesh, so our normal communication and thinking ways are of the soulish/fleshy realm. We receive normally how the rest of society would, reacting and responding how the majority would. That is the world's way. The voice of the enemy is what I m mainly targeting. Why? Satan would really like for you to fall for half-truths and the imitated small still voice of God. However, He will always lie within the truth.(Ro 7: 18). We are also told, "there is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the
way of death " The Devil involves himself clearly within the World and within the Flesh. My point of shutting him down means that we will cut out the loud voices of the world's demand and the flesh by identifying Satan's.
If a person is still unable to believe that we can be influenced by satan or demonic forces then think about after you are tempted and reject it. Is there not a voice the disagrees with your rejection? That confronts your denial and seeks to enlarge your sudden though by sly words of persuasion? In my experience I myself do. It is not morally another temptation or scream from the flesh if I myself reject it.
Spiritual Discernment
The Holy Spirit is meant on many occasions is to teach you, heal you, protect you, guide you, and reveal within us revelations. How it does so is by our development of discerning. If we do know let the Holy Spirit move within our lives then how can we be taught? How can we say we are guided by such a thing if we are not intimate with our communication?
As a owned Child of God and Our Shepard, we much are able to communicate with the Father and The Word. This is by daily devotion, prayer, and meditation on The Word.
This is how we begin to self-discover our old ways compared to the new creation that we are beginning to walk in. Our temples are the place of spiritual discernment. If we do not discern the time, we are late for delivery and can not receive the Father is giving. Nor can we understand what influences us and why we react or respond a certain way when dealing with our life, struggles, tragedies, temptations, and trails.
We hope that as you walk and grow in the Lord you pursue the gifts that come with discernment. Learning how to operate as a new creation is wonderful and beautiful.
