Worship The LORD In Brokenness

Dearly Beloved Church and Saints of The Most High GOD,

How blessed are we who have been called and chosen by the Horn of our Salvation: Jesus Christ The LORD! What a great favor we have been given by our King that we can enter into His Holy presence even in our fallen state in this cursed world and be made new washed as white as snow by the blood of The Lamb, to be able to bow before Him on His throne of mercy and grace to worship Him in His presence and to sing praises unto His awesome Name! I stand in awe of our great magnificent GOD that He is so great that upon His breath the very foundations of the earth shake and tremble, and of His great power which makes the heavens bow with just one spoken word; what a valiant honor it is to be invited in to His throne room as the train of His robe fills His Holy Temple where the angels round about His throne cry "Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy" day and night never-ending! He is so mighty and so powerful in awesome glory and splendid wonder, there really are no words in the human vocabulary which can utter or capture His tremendous magnificence. Before Him I know I am unworthy, yet He looks down upon me and smiles in unconditional love in desire of wanting me by His side and before Him. He has called us who were once unworthy, worthy (Colossians 1:12). In our state of feeling unworthy or feeling broken, we need to run boldly to His throne where His grace and mercy are poured out continually. We cannot withhold ourselves from our Heavenly Father when our hearts are broken or when we are so weary that we cannot barley speak; for when we know not what to pray for or what to say but we know that we need to pray, the spirit bares witness of the Spirit and knows exactly what to pray for (Romans 8:26). King David knew brokenness all too well when he fell from grace into sin and filthy darkness, and he cried out to The LORD in his time of trouble and despair day and night. He wept continually before The LORD and made many supplications in lamentation unto Him; his very soul was vexed for the deep sorrow he felt for transgressing against Him. He cried out, "O lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee: Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry; For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave" (Psalm 88:1-3).

In Psalm 51 King David cries out unto The LORD to have mercy upon him according to His loving-kindness and multitude of tender mercies regarding his sins, to wash him and cleanse him of his iniquity and he acknowledged his transgressions as his sin was ever before him. He was in grave turmoil in his heart for sinning against The LORD his GOD, the Holy One of Israel; he begged Him with all of his being to purge him and make him as white as snow. He says in vs. 8-12, "Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit". This is the most perfect example of how to pour our hearts out to GOD, pleading with Him to make us new as a little child with a pure heart and to deliver us from the pains of the deep sadness in brokenness. In vs. 17 it tells us that the sacrifices of GOD are a broken spirit and a broken and contrite heart He loves and not despises. There is nothing more beautiful to The LORD than a broken and contrite heart and spirit.

In Psalm 34:17-20, King David reveals a significant truth: "The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken". This tells us that those of us who seek to walk in righteousness forsaking the pleasures of this world indeed shall be afflicted and be broken, but The LORD looks down upon this as beautiful and precious in His sight (Psalm 116:15). It is no coincidence that in the beginning of Psalm 34 King David tells us to praise The LORD in our times of brokenness by saying: "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears". It goes on to tell us in vs. 7 that the Angel of The LORD encamps round about us who fear Him and delivers us. In worshipping The LORD, praising Him, fearing Him, resting in Him, in waiting upon Him no matter what the circumstance and no matter how broken or drenched in sorrow or heavy we are: We find His favor with His right hand! He sends His warrior angels down to split the enemy asunder in battle and His guardians and ministering angels down to protect us and administer consolation. We are instructed to take on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3) for a reason: when we drop all things in this world in the middle of the greatest hurricanes of life just to praise The Name of The LORD, we break free and find deliverance from all of it from our great King! HE IS THE WAY!

The King of Kings therefore steps forward as our front and rear guard to defend us from the enemy as He covers us from secret warfare as we are in our state of brokenness and He draws nigh unto us and He saves us. He heals the broken-hearted and binds up our wounds (Psalm 147:3). Even though we fall and shatter into pieces in sorrow and weeping lamentations, still He hears us and He shelters us and renews our strength as we rest in Him and wait upon Him for all things. For those who wait upon The LORD shall receive renewed strength and mount up with the wings of eagles: we shall run and not grow weary and we shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). King Jesus says, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30). He is here for us as an ever-present help in our times of trouble and He surrounds us with songs of deliverance as we take Him in as our hiding place (Psalm 32:7).

Personally I have found such incredible and immediate breakthrough in worship, and by searching out the scriptures I have now illuminated the great importance of falling before the throne of mercy and grace quickly and boldly leaving no time for the enemy to get there before I do. GOD is found when He is sought with our whole hearts (Jeremiah 29:13) fallen in brokenness and of a contrite spirit, and oh... HE SHOWS UP! When we cry out to Him in mourning and surrender all unto Him trusting in Him completely that He has got us right in the palm of His hand and knows every hair upon our heads, He tucks us under His almighty wings and there we abide under His shadow. This is the secret place with Him in which we dwell, for He is our Refuge and our Strength (Psalm 91). It is in worship, entering into His presence, where we find His peace, mercy, grace, and love. Cry out!

In the next few letters, we will touch on more scriptures that shall open the floodgates of heaven by entering into the presence of the Almighty GOD and into His gates with thanksgiving and praise. For He is worthy of all of our praise and worship, forever and ever, Amen.

Be encouraged in Jesus' Name!
"Now The LORD of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The LORD be with you all." (2 Thessalonians 3:16).
Keep us in Prayer that the advancing of His glorious Kingdom comes through us as we wait for His powerful day of arrival. God Bless you in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ The LORD!
