Great Steps Towards Our Great GOD

Dearly Beloved Church and Saints of The Most High GOD,

As the Church of Jesus Christ we must know how to praise and worship Him in glory of our Father. This is a vital key in living victoriously in Christ, for it is through praise and worship that we get closer to Him and develop an intimate relationship with Him. GOD is not only worthy of all honor and glory and praise, but He loves to be worshiped and serenaded in song and in dance. This is how we please Him and this is how we draw nigh unto Him. There is no other way more dynamic or virtuous to praise The LORD than through exaltation of His Holy Name in glorifying and magnifying His Majesty. The angels in heaven were created for the sole purpose of worshipping The LORD. This is all so vital to know and to practice in our walk in this world at all times because we know that the god of this world (satan) used to be one of the angels and perhaps the arch minister of the angelic choir in charge of worshiping and conducting worship of GOD, surrounding the throne of GOD with the most beautiful songs on pipes and tabrets which were in him a part of his covering (Ezekiel 28:13-20). Why is this important to know when speaking of entering into the presence of The Almighty GOD? So that we have a foundation laid out which proves that angels were indeed created for worshiping The LORD and we who are His perfect creation are also supposed to worship Him with all of our heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit. GOD is a spirit, and must be worshiped in spirit. "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (John 4:23-24). GOD teaches us how to worship Him in truth by worshipping and having an intimate relationship in faith with His Son Jesus Christ, Who is GOD Himself. Jesus said that He is the Way and the Truth and the Life and no-one comes to the Father but through the Son (John 14:6). The greatest way that we can worship The LORD is with our every thought and action. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Romans 12:1-2). This is our spiritual act of worship.

Praise and worship is not just the act of singing songs in church, it is a condition of our heart and a willingness to exalt GOD above all things. It is an expression of our love and awe to our LORD Who is the One that gives us all that we have. Deuteronomy 6:5 says to love the LORD your GOD with all of your heart and with all of your soul and with all of your strength. We do this by rejoicing in His wonder and by exaltation of His Name, for it is through Jesus Christ our LORD that we have been saved from judgment and the everlasting fires of torment. Jesus was sent to satisfy the judgment of The Almighty upon us, for we have all sinned and have all fallen short of the glory of GOD (Romans 3:23). So what shall we say then? Shall we not learn to worship the King of Kings who came as the Lamb of GOD taking away the sins of the world so that we may be saved and enter into eternal rest with GOD in heaven? Indeed we should praise Him for what He has done! So we need to learn how to enter into the presence of The Almighty GOD in our own personal way but also in the greatest way possible, right? I look at it in the way that King David did: if I am going to worship The LORD, I am going to give Him the very best exaltation that I possibly can blossom and put forth! We should desire to sing unto The LORD with all that we've got! No-one else in The Bible worshiped The LORD of Hosts greater than King David did, so he is then our greatest example of how to enter into the presence of The Almighty GOD! THE NAME OF THE LORD IS WORTHY OF PRAISE!

GOD has many names in His Word that elude to certain characteristics of Who He is. Something that He has shown me is that in the exaltation of His different Names in prayer entering into His presence there is released the portion unto me and in my life according to which names I call upon. In my great love for The LORD as I enter into His presence and bow before Him I have found myself magnifying His great countenance through calling out His Names in worship. I have happened to notice that when I begin to do this, keys begin to turn and doors begin to unlock before me; doors which no-one can open but Him and that no-one can close but Him (Isaiah 54:1-2, Revelation 3:8). The higher we lift the mighty name of The LORD and the more we dedicate ourselves to Him in prayer, praise, and worship: the greater He pours out His grace and blessings unto us (Psalm 68:4). HE IS THE MOST HIGH GOD AND KING OVER ALL OF HEAVEN AND OF EARTH! To worship Him completely we must know Him and how mighty He is so that we can give Him the highest praise!

So what are the Names of GOD? First and foremost He is Adonai, which is pronounced in substitution of YHWH - considered too sacred to be uttered (Psalm 8, Isaiah 40:3-5, Ezekiel 16:8); He is the Master and majestic LORD, our total authority. He is Jehovah, which is using the vowels of Adonai meaning "I AM, The One Who Is, The Self-Existant One" (Exodus 3:14, 6:2-4, 34:5-7, Psalm 102). GOD never changes and His promises never fail; when we are faithless He is faithful! He is Elohim which is plural from "El - meaning "The Strong One" which is to be used in compound with proper names; Elohim is the plural form of "El" usually associated with GOD in relation with His creation. Elohim means "The All-Powerful One, Creator". GOD is the All-Powerful Creator of the universe. GOD knows all, creates all, sees all, and is everywhere at all times (Genesis 1:1-3, Deuteronomy 10:17, Psalm 68, Mark 13:19). One name I love to call upon in worship and in prayer is His name El-Roi: The GOD Who sees me; I love to use this name because whatever my circumstance is in my life, He always has a fatherly awareness and care for me. GOD knows us and our troubles for there is no hidden thing from His sight (Luke 8:17, Deuteronomy 29:29). *For this name of GOD, see Genesis 16:11-14 and Psalm 139:7-12.* There are many names throughout the scriptures that GOD reveals Himself as. Another name I love to call Him is El-Shaddai, from where He reveals Himself to confirm His covenant with Abraham; this name refers to GOD's power evident in His judgment "All-Sufficient One, The GOD of the Mountains, GOD Almighty" (Genesis 17:1-3, 35:11, 48:3, 49:25, Psalm 90:2). He is the All-Sufficiant source of all of our blessings and provision. GOD is All-Powerful; our problems are never too big for Him to handle and take care of. It is important that we remain humble before Him in prayer and in praise and in worship, for these are the times where we are seeking His presence and in dire need of His presence, His council, His provision, His promises, and His Word. When we cry out to GOD He always answers, He is ALWAYS there! These are just a few to use as you enter into the presence of The Almighty GOD (El-Shaddai), to call upon in beginning to worship Him. In worshipping Him we are exalting the Most High Holy Name of our King, which is above all names (Philippians 2:9); thus the importance of magnifying His Name is vital for us to grab ahold of when approaching the throne of mercy and grace. HE IS HOLY!

When you enter into His presence and are in need of His protection to war on your behalf, we need to remember that He is our GOD Who will fight for us and run warfare before and behind us. He is our front and rear guard (Isaiah 52:12). To conclude this letter bringing this message full-circle, we will bring in some of the songs of King David. King David worshiped The LORD so intensely that as he danced before Him, his very cloths fell off! How he loved The LORD! This is Who our GOD is, for He is the same GOD yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). "Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me. He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth" (Psalm 57:1-3). He called upon our Warrior GOD King further by scribing: "My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty. And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things" (Psalm 45:1-4).

In the next few letters, we will touch on more scriptures that shall open the floodgates of heaven by entering into the presence of the Almighty GOD and into His gates with thanksgiving and praise. For He is worthy of all of our praise and worship, forever and ever, Amen.

Be encouraged in Jesus' Name!
"Now The LORD of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The LORD be with you all." (2 Thessalonians 3:16).
Keep us in Prayer that the advancing of His glorious Kingdom comes through us as we wait for His powerful day of arrival. God Bless you in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ The LORD!
